Branding and Riding

Kylie has been riding over to the arena the last couple times when Dad and Ba are roping. She has moved up to a big horse for a little riding. Ky still loves to ride Sarah Girl all around the yard at least one day a week.

Ryan's birthday was last Friday and we had some friends over to brand our Corriente Cattle. It was a hot day, but everyone had a good time. We followed up the branding with a taco bar dinner and ice cream sundaes. Happy Birthday Ryan!

Grady's Check Up

After the storm/wind/rain/hail the three of us went up the school to play. Kylie got to ride her new bike from Grandma and Grandpa while Grady splashed around in the puddles. We enjoyed some time in the sunshine.

We went to Ellensburg Thursday night for Grady's sixteen month check up. Grady weighed 25.5lbs and was 32inch long, which puts him in the 50% for both. Grady was a very good sport about his two shots. He tensed up and took them both with out a screen or tear. He got a big lip on the 2nd shot, but he is one tough boy. When Grady cries we know something is really wrong. We are all set until after his 2nd birthday. We have taken Grady off the bottle and that means our baby is a real big boy now. Our next step will be a big boy bed, he has started to crawl out of his crib.

Swimming Lessons

 Kylie loves to JUMP!
She needs to work on relaxing and floating.
Kylie loves swimming, she just needs to keep practicing some skills. She is very good a jumping off the side half way across the pool. She doesn't like to get her face in, but that should be coming. Thank you Miss Kori for a great week.

Fourth of July

Summer is such a great time of year. We have been outside with BBQs, horse riding, sprinklers, smores, fishing, and swimming pools. We celebrated 4th of July with a roping in wenatchee on Sunday to watch Daddy.  Nany/Susie birthday was celebrated with a cake and ice cream and even more important fun with cousins, that was our Tuesday evening. Then Thursday was fishing and a BBQ with friends. Along with a firework show by Daddy for Nany, Ky, and myself. Happy 4th of July!

Summerfest Parade 2012

COWGIRL COUSINS! That was the entry into the Summerfest Parade down Main Street in Royal City last Saturday. These two girls were so cute in there pink ribbons, bows, sparkles, and tutus. Kylie Rose rode her pony Sarah Girl and cousin Maddie rode Special (aka Sparky Boy). The girls were accompanied by Ba, Grandpa Larry who rode in the first Royal City Parade 50 years ago. It was a beautiful day and fun had by all!
