Sitting Up

Kylie is officially sitting up by herself and for a long time, o.k. for five minutes before she collapses or falls to the side, but that is a long time for a five month old. She is growing up so big so fast. We had been working on this for a little while. She is really great at sitting in the crack of the couch, but she just started doing this all on her own on Monday. I had to sub Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday. I finally captured it this morning. A little update, no teeth yet, but it shouldn't be long. No, she is not crawling yet, but she is working on it especially when she want something like "Cat Nap." My next thing is to capture her sitting up with a smile. I will work on that tonight when Ryan comes home. I also had to add a couple of pictures Ryan took on Monday afternoon when he watched her. He can get her to smile every time and I think that her smile for him is a little bigger than for me. Thanks Grandma for coming to Royal to watch Kylie on Tuesday.

Cousin Danielle

I decided to make the trip to town today. I have been doing some menu planning. I can go for two weeks then I need a trip to town for groceries. We had lunch with Grandma at our favorite place the Yellow Church Cafe. I also had to get my car worked on, then a big trip to the grocery store, a quick stop by the scrapbook store, and Jerrol's the bookstore. Last on the agenda for the day was my cousin Danielle's basketball. She is in seventh grade and lives in Prosser. Her basketball team was playing Ellensburg and we stopped by to see her score two points.
You had a great game Danielle. You are a super star. You are a hustler. Congrats on the win! Danielle is such a sweet girl and is so fun to be around. She also is very beautiful and is growing up to be such a wonderful person. We love you so much!

Tripp Allen has Arrived

Tripp Allen was born on Wednesday, January 14th around 3 o'clock in the morning. He weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 19 inches long. He has lots of hair that is dark and has a little wave to it. I am so jealous you could get a bow in it already, oh yeah he's a boy. We are so happy that everything went smooth. He is just a cutie. Mother and baby are doing great.
You guys try to get some rest before you come home on Friday. We can't wait to have mister on the ranch. You both are wonderful parents and we love you all so much!

Congratulations on Tripp Allen Stewart!

Five Months Old

I sleep a lot at night. I love to sleep from 8p.m. to 7 a.m. I take three short naps through out the day. I eat 6oz formula bottles every three hours. I eat 5-6 bottles a day, that is a lot of work. Sounds that I like to make are giggles, squeals, and lot of jibber talks. I am learning to sit up by myself and crawl. I can roll over and stand up with help for a long long time. I like to sit in my Bumbo chair and watch everything. I like to Jumperoo for hours. I don't like it when I don't get my bottle fast enough, my mom is really slow. Things that make me special are I have to be swaddled when I sleep, still I know I love it. I like lights out when I sleep, I have a blanket or my hand to cover up my eyes. I like to sleep on my side, that is my favorite. My favorite toy is my stuffed lion, "Cat Nap." I also like my blocks that mom builds and I can knock them down, that is pretty fun. I absolutely love to look at book. I can sit in my mom or dad's lap and look at books with them.

We have weighed Kylie on the scale last night and she was 15 lbs 6 oz. I don't know how accurate our home scale is, but she is finally packing on the pounds. Her face is starting to fill out. We love our girl so much. Kylie you are just perfect. We don't go to the doctor this month so no shots, YEAH! We are so happy that Kylie is such an easy baby that loves to learn new things. We are so lucky to have such an amazing daughter. We love you Rosebud!

Cat Nap

This is Kylie's stuffed animal. She is already attached to her lion, "Cat Nap." She is just crazy about it. Every time I put it out for her to play with she just attack it. She starts kicking and doing a high pitch squeal. As many of you know this is very fitting. Kylie is a Leo for her sign along with her dad and Aunt Sybil. The name of her lion is "Cat Nap," which is also fitting because Kylie from about 3 months has only taken very short 20-30 cat naps during the day. But, I guess I shouldn't complain because she has been sleeping through the night from 2 and half months, we were lucky. This is her new lovey. I have tried to find it online to get at least one more for later on, but I need to search harder. My nephew Jett, which many of you know has a stuffed horse that he has had forever, "Douglas." I am hoping to get her several so that she can have a new lion every year. I think that it must be a Stewart trait because Ryan also had a very famous lovey. So, this is the new love is Kylie's life, "Cat Nap."

Pictures from the Canon Rebel

This is Kylie in her jumperoo. We can hardly get her out of it.
She loves it!
This is just a typical day to day look for Kylie. She has only one sock on and her bib is soaked with puck. This is our girl! She has warmed up the last couple weeks and smiles are a flying.
This weekend I picked up my camera from Costco, which was my Christmas present from Ryan. I have been messing with it everyday. Since, Kylie is the only one here during the day she is my subject along with my dog, Sharri when Kylie is sleeping. I love my Canon Rebel. It takes amazing pictures. It is also really easy to use. After I got my camera Ryan made a list of all of the pictures that I can take. I will be taking dog, roping, branding, cattle drives and any other pictures that he can think of. I am excited. I love you Ryan and thanks for such a wonderful Christmas present. Here are just a couple of the pictures that I have taken in the last couple days. There will be many more to come.

Snow and More Snow

We had yet to take Kylie into the snow until this morning when we woke up to another four inches. We had went to Ellensburg yesterday evening. We had dinner and went to the movie "Australia," which we both enjoyed. Then a quick visit with the folks and back to Royal. It was freezing rain when we left Ellensburg and it was getting pretty slippery. I was waiting for a long trip home. I-90 was bladed and sanded really well. When we hit Rye Grass it was 32 degrees and bare roads. By the time we got down to the river it was 40 degrees. The roads we dry and clear all the way home. Then we woke up to this more white snow. I love the snow, but for my husband job of feeding cows this just makes it miserable. We took Kylie out when it was sunny and warm this morning. She was so funny, she was trying to walk through it and pick up her feet. I went to help Ryan feed this morning while Kylie stayed with Nany. Thanks Nany!

Puppies

Our female red border collie, "Babe" had a litter of nine puppies on December 12th. We had been waiting until we could bring one in to see Kylie. I went with Ryan to feed in the morning and we left Kylie with Grandma Shirley. When we got back Ryan brought one in. Kylie was in her swing and we set the puppy in to snuggle with Kylie. She was so cute. The puppy wanted to lick her fingers and her face. The puppy wouldn't bite her. She finally warmed up to the idea and was trying to grab him after awhile. They are at that really cute puppy stage. We have all but two sold so far. They will be leaving us pretty soon. Aren't they just tooo cute!
