Swim

We got invited to Ryan's friends house for a BBQ and to go swimming last night. We had a great time. The salmon was delicious and the pool was great. Thanks Andy and Kim for a fun night. As you can tell Kylie had fun just kicking it pool side.

Friday the 21st of August was the teacher's first day back. I met my mom is Vantage to drop Kylie off for a day at Grandma's. I spent the day in meetings and creating math assessments. We also had to re-organize the schedule for our kiddos day. It was my first day away from Kylie and it was hard to think that this will now be my normal. It has been an entire year that I have been with her all day every day. Ryan and I have left Kylie once back in April for a night in Levenworth, that has been it. I subbed a couple days a month and left Kylie with her Nany or Grandma. This will defiantly be an adjust more for me. When I got home from school I was heading to get Kylie in Ellensburg, when Ryan asked if I would want to go with him to his rodeo Saturday morning. We decided to leave Kylie at my mom and dad's for this night. We went fishing, which is Ryan's new hobby. We also ate dinner in town at our favorite restaurant Casa Miguel's. Ryan and I headed out first thing Saturday morning for the Toppenish rodeo. We left our house around 6:00 a.m. It was a beautiful day and even though Ryan didn't do any good it was fun to get to see some people that I haven't seen in a year or so. After the slack was over we headed for Ellensburg to pick up Kylie and take her out to Repp's for the End of the Year roping. In the mean time Kylie had a great morning. My mom and dad took Kylie downtown to the Ellensburg Rodeo Kick Off Breakfast. She looked so cute in her denim pony dress. Ryan roped well and ended the year fourth overall. He won a beautiful headstall. Sunday we spent the day just relaxing and gearing up for this week of going here, there, and everywhere. Monday Kylie spent the day with Nany and all of her grand kids. Kylie left my side and was chasing after Jett. I am glad that we have yet to have a burn down about me leaving. It was a busy day around there. I however was in a writing curriculum training, no fun at all let me tell ya. Tuesday was a early morning heading out the Aunt Katie's house to play with Maddie and the boys. I thought that maybe the third day now, second in a row, she would miss me a little, not this girl. She hands me her lovey and starts to wave bye bye as she runs after Cade and that was my bye bye. I spent the day again in meetings, trainings, and more meetings. Wednesday Kylie was back at Nany's for another fun day. Nany decided to take Kylie out to the pond to play for the last Wednesday play date. I am sure she had fun playing with the girls in the sand. Thursday Ryan took Kylie for a couple hours in the morning and then my mom showed up around 9:30 and of course no problems leaving. But, as I drove to school I started to tear up thinking she doesn't even miss me. Thursday was such a busy day that I hardly had any time to think about her. Thursday was kindergarten orientation for half the class. I had nine students show up and we had a wonderful day. The students were able to get to know me, my routines, our schedule, lunch procedures, recess, and other miscellaneous daily procedures. It was a really great day. Thursday night Ryan invited us go ride while he roped. I took Kylie and she had the best time. She even feel asleep while I was riding with her. It was really cute! Friday I was off early to meet my mom is Vantage. Kylie again just waved bye bye and gave me a kiss. She has a fun day with Grandma and my brother's. However, Friday was a little more eventful in room 111. I had twelve students show up for orientation. We had a great morning and after lunch when I brought my students in we were missing two students. I check with the office one of my students was in the office with a bee sting, poor guy. The second student was MIA. I was scared, but I have to stay calm and remain teaching my other eleven students. The loud speaker kept reporting "Mrs. Stewart is missing a kindergarten students. Please keep your eye out for this students." After an hour had passed. We had the school staff on a man hunt. The police were called to search around the school, and I still was missing a student. At this point the mom was called and we had one thing to tell her that her child was missing. After about an hour and a half, we found the missing student. He decided to try out one of the other kindergarten classes for the afternoon. I was in a panic thinking what is this mom going think. I had lost her baby on the first day of school. We will see if he returns for school on Monday. Maybe the mom will come and spend the day with us to check on her baby. This will be the one and only time this happens. Can you imagine receiving that phone call or being in my shoes? What a day? Needless to say I met my mom at Vantage instead of driving to Ellensburg and took in easy. Ryan made a delicious dinner and I just had to kick up my feet. WOW what a week! My class is wonderful and I am so excited about this upcoming year. It will be a big change for me, but a great one. I will also get to spend the day with my two nephews. Yesterday was a day to get some things done. I cleaned my house, did five loads of laundry, and then went to Wal-Mart, to purchase groceries. Kylie was a trooper on the way Ryan got a phone call that cows were out and we had to take a detour to fix some fence and get nine head of cattle back in. This is life of a rancher. By the time we got to Wal-Mart she ran free for the entire hour we were there, thank goodness Ryan decided to come, and just ram rod her. It was a busy week and we are already gearing up for this next full week. We are looking forward to next weekend. We will spend most of the Labor Day weekend in Ellensburg. We will attend the parade, rodeo, and fair. Hope all of you have a really great week! I am hoping that my days at school will go well, Kylie will continue to adjust to our new normal, and I get things together.

Happy Birthday Jace!

All of the Allred and Stewart cousins. What a cute bunch?
Jace's really cool baseball cake.
Maddie walking around and enjoying her juice.Kylie playing with Savana.
Cousin Tripp Allen enjoying the sand and his smile was permanent.
Daddy and Kylie enjoying the water in her new ladybug floatie.
Happy Birthday to my six year old nephew! We had a great time at your baseball party. You are a really great kid and such a helper. We love your smile. You are such a smart kid and I am excited to get to spend my days with you. I am looking forward to kindergarten with you this year. We love you! Happy Birthday Jace! Jace helping Kylie at the pond a couple of weeks ago. She loves Jace. They bonded over some ice cream at the Oregon Coast. Jace thanks for all help and entertaining of Rosebud.

This is a side note. I had called Jace yesterday to wish him a happy birthday, but I let me play the guessing game to figure out who I was. I told him that I was going to spend everyday with him at his new school. He didn't call me Aunt J, or teacher, or Mrs. Stewart, he says "oh I know who this is it is Rosebud's mommy." I have yet to be called mommy by anyone else but Ryan. It just melted my heart. I am Rosebud's mommy. Thanks Jace for that reminder.

Twelve Month Doctor Appointment

This is Kylie's official one year picture. Today was the doctor appointment in Ellensburg. She is doing great and right on track. She gained about three pounds and grew three inches since her appointment back in May. She is now 23 lbs. and 30.7 inches tall. She is the 81 percentile for weight and 92 percentile for height. Kylie was great at the doctor's office, my very busy girl. She rearranged all of the draws and said "hi" to everyone in the office even the nurse AFTER she gave Kylie her four shots. She did cry, but was done before we left the room. She is a tough cookie. I was planning on a two day recoup. When we got home we went for a ride in her new red wagon to visit Ba and Nany. She had to go show off her band-aids. She is growing like a weed. I just have to add this in, Kylie's percentiles are right on track to be my height, when all is said and done she should be over 5 foot 10 inches.

We love you Rosebud, sorry about your shots, but you handled it like a champ!

Happy Birthday Kylie!

Birthday Day

We want to start a tradition of a birthday breakfast. Kylie and I made Ryan his back in July and I made Kylie her waffles on Friday morning, which was her actual birthday. She worked and worked on the candle. She then gave up and dove in with a squish and a handful. We spent the day around the ranch. We went for a walk, played in her pool, a four-wheeler ride, and went to Nany's. When we had dinner we decided to let her have a little pudding her dessert. She enjoyed that special treat to its fullest. After we got her cleaned up we let her open one present, which was a new book for before bed. She enjoyed her special day spent with mommy and daddy.

Pigs

It is official Kylie Rose has pigs. I kept thinking that I should try them, but to keep this girl still even for her one pony tail is enough. Aunt Sybil, who has been excited about pigs before she even was a day old, was coming to town yesterday so I gave it a whorl and they are not to bad. The hair on top could get a little longer, but that is just so that you can see the tops of the pigs over the curly bows. I am happy that my girl can do pigs, but it may be a once a week thing with all that squirming.

Surf N' Slide Again

I knew that I wanted to take Kylie back to the Surf N' Slide in Moses Lake before I start back to work and this summer comes to an end. Our good friends that Ryan went to high school with Mike and Apryl have a little girl that is a couple months older that Kylie. We decided that it was a girls day at the water park. Apryl and I with the two girls had a little picnic. The girls were pretty eager to get into the sprinklers. They were chasing after each other and screeching. It was really cute. We then took a little ride on the inter tubes. Then when swimming and ended the trip with another play in the sprinklers. It was a such a great day. It was perfect weather and not too many people. The girls had fun and I did as well. It was great to catch up with you Apryl. Emma is a cutie. Kylie and Emma are both on the go, don't slow down for nothing type girls. It was fun to get them together. The SURF N' SLIDE is just too much fun!

Steven and Shannon's Reception

Steven and Shannon had a fabulous wedding in Cabo on the 2nd of July. We were able to make it to the reception that they had in Ellensburg on Saturday. Kylie went to Grandma and Grandpa's for a little snooze. I especially had a great time catching up with all my girlfriends from high school. There reception was wonderful and very simple elegant, just like Shannon. The reception was at Central in the Sue Lombard Hall. Shannon is one of my best friends from high school and college. We were roommates in the dorms our freshman year and then we lived together our second year of college. I love you Shannon and you looked gorgeous!
Congratulations Steven and Shannon!
(picture is coming)

Brandon and Nicole's Wedding

Kylie eating her favorite, cantaloupe with her favorite, Daddy!

Last Saturday was a day of weddings. We were able to make it to Brandon and Nicole's outdoor wedding at Ritter Farms, west of Cle Elum. I just have to add how we are connected to this lovely couple. Nicole's mom and my dad are first cousins. Brandon's sister, Danae, is one of my dear friends and was in our wedding. Lots of connects, and we love you both so much! The set up was beautiful and the barn brought back memories of our wedding, almost four years ago. Kylie had the best time showing off and tyring to keep up with her big girl cousins. The wedding was beautiful, the color so summer, flower were gorgeous, the food delicious, and the family priceless. Ryan and I got to visit and see quit a few people we hadn't seen in years. We left Kylie with Grandma and Grandpa and we were off to the next wedding.
Congratulations to Brandon and Nicole!
