Summer Fun Part 1

Wenatchee park fun, Monday was a hot day.

 Playdough mess
 Painting rocks
 Nature scavenger hunt

We made a trip to Tri-Cities on Friday, to celebrate with Aunt Teresa for her birthday, lunch at Red Robin. We also met Megan to say 1 last good-bye. She is on her way to Arizona. A little shopping and headed home to Royal. Summer is going to be a busy busy time, but more relaxing this weekend.

Tea Party

Nany hosted a little ladies tea party this last Thursday. Kylie and Maddie along with four friends. It was such a fun event. The girls came in their Sunday best. We decorated hats with flowers and ribbons. They all had white gloves for the tea service and each created a beaded bracelet. The tea party was a wonderful success. The sandwiches and fruit was devoured. They enjoyed a walk around the property and looking after their baby dolls. The grandmother helpers included Nany, Grandma Shirley, Granny, Grandma Gray, Grandma Allred, and Grandma Lawrence. Aunt Katie and I were among the guests and helped with the tea service. It was a lovely Thursday afternoon! Wonderful memories.

Father's Day

We started with breakfast with Daddy.

Lunch in Ellensburg with Grandpa and Papa.

Then dinner in Royal with Ba and the Allred cousins.
Happy Father's Day to these four men in our life. They are all hard workers and are great men. We are lucky to have such a wonderful daddy and grandpas to celebrate.
Happy Father's Day!

Catch Up April and May

Life has been a little busy around here, just everyday stuff. This is the last on my to do list every month, but I wanted to catch up on all the highlights.

The kids helping Ry work the cows.

Julie and I walked a half marathon in the middle of April. We made it under three hours for 13 miles.

Ky competed in a playdate in Heppner with her cousins Jett and Tripp. Ky loved the goat tying. She won first.
She also did the poles and barrels.

Rodeo is hard work.

Picture day at ballet.
Grady will be at Children's Hospital at the end of July for a minor surgery. This was our pre appointment day. He loved his lunch at Burger King.

Daddy shot a rock chuck and Ky picked it up. Her mom had a heart attack.
Ky at her ballet program. Thanks again Ms. Laurie for aother great year.

I also did a glow run in May with some friends in Tri-Cities.

Kylie made a fairy garden with Uncle Nick and Aunt Megan before they left for Arizona. We held an engagement/going away party in Ellensburg at the end of May, fun times, sad to see them go.  Nick was accepted to PT school and Megan just graduated from Central.

Happy Birthday and Happy Mother's Day to Granny!

Grandma came to the dentist in Yakima and after a "no cavity" check up we stopped and had frozen yogurt as a surprise.
Happy Mother's Day to my momma. Love ya.
Ryan took my brother Matt, my dad, and papa rock chuck hunting and it was a total success.
 Summer Camp Fire
 SMORES
 Playdate with fun friends.
Kylie participated in the Histio Hero bike-a-thon today. She loved it! She only made 1 lap and ask for a snack.
Grady went to breakfast with Ryan at Delish.
We floated Crab Creek last night and decided to do it again this afternoon. LOTS OF SUNSHINE!

Kylie had been riding more and more. She loves Sarah, but thinks big horses are pretty cool. She is practicing to go to barrel club in Moses.
Daddy and Ba have been roping.  We cheer from the barrels. My kids love root beer in the bottle. That is a special treat.

My school year has come to an end, and as I look to next year. I will miss the school and seeing all of my past student's faces each day. I love to teach! This year was a wonderful group of kids and I am sad that it went by so quickly. I am excited about preschool and more time with my kids. I am more excited about a summer with my kids and we plan to enjoy every minute of it. HAPPY SUMMER!
