Friday the 21st of August was the teacher's first day back. I met my mom is Vantage to drop Kylie off for a day at Grandma's. I spent the day in meetings and creating math assessments. We also had to re-organize the schedule for our kiddos day. It was my first day away from Kylie and it was hard to think that this will now be my normal. It has been an entire year that I have been with her all day every day. Ryan and I have left Kylie once back in April for a night in Levenworth, that has been it. I subbed a couple days a month and left Kylie with her Nany or Grandma. This will defiantly be an adjust more for me. When I got home from school I was heading to get Kylie in Ellensburg, when Ryan asked if I would want to go with him to his rodeo Saturday morning. We decided to leave Kylie at my mom and dad's for this night. We went fishing, which is Ryan's new hobby. We also ate dinner in town at our favorite restaurant Casa Miguel's. Ryan and I headed out first thing Saturday morning for the Toppenish rodeo. We left our house around 6:00 a.m. It was a beautiful day and even though Ryan didn't do any good it was fun to get to see some people that I haven't seen in a year or so. After the slack was over we headed for Ellensburg to pick up Kylie and take her out to Repp's for the End of the Year roping. In the mean time Kylie had a great morning. My mom and dad took Kylie downtown to the Ellensburg Rodeo Kick Off Breakfast. She looked so cute in her denim pony dress. Ryan roped well and ended the year fourth overall. He won a beautiful headstall. Sunday we spent the day just relaxing and gearing up for this week of going here, there, and everywhere. Monday Kylie spent the day with Nany and all of her grand kids. Kylie left my side and was chasing after Jett. I am glad that we have yet to have a burn down about me leaving. It was a busy day around there. I however was in a writing curriculum training, no fun at all let me tell ya. Tuesday was a early morning heading out the Aunt Katie's house to play with Maddie and the boys. I thought that maybe the third day now, second in a row, she would miss me a little, not this girl. She hands me her lovey and starts to wave bye bye as she runs after Cade and that was my bye bye. I spent the day again in meetings, trainings, and more meetings. Wednesday Kylie was back at Nany's for another fun day. Nany decided to take Kylie out to the pond to play for the last Wednesday play date. I am sure she had fun playing with the girls in the sand. Thursday Ryan took Kylie for a couple hours in the morning and then my mom showed up around 9:30 and of course no problems leaving. But, as I drove to school I started to tear up thinking she doesn't even miss me. Thursday was such a busy day that I hardly had any time to think about her. Thursday was kindergarten orientation for half the class. I had nine students show up and we had a wonderful day. The students were able to get to know me, my routines, our schedule, lunch procedures, recess, and other miscellaneous daily procedures. It was a really great day. Thursday night Ryan invited us go ride while he roped. I took Kylie and she had the best time. She even feel asleep while I was riding with her. It was really cute! Friday I was off early to meet my mom is Vantage. Kylie again just waved bye bye and gave me a kiss. She has a fun day with Grandma and my brother's. However, Friday was a little more eventful in room 111. I had twelve students show up for orientation. We had a great morning and after lunch when I brought my students in we were missing two students. I check with the office one of my students was in the office with a bee sting, poor guy. The second student was MIA. I was scared, but I have to stay calm and remain teaching my other eleven students. The loud speaker kept reporting "Mrs. Stewart is missing a kindergarten students. Please keep your eye out for this students." After an hour had passed. We had the school staff on a man hunt. The police were called to search around the school, and I still was missing a student. At this point the mom was called and we had one thing to tell her that her child was missing. After about an hour and a half, we found the missing student. He decided to try out one of the other kindergarten classes for the afternoon. I was in a panic thinking what is this mom going think. I had lost her baby on the first day of school. We will see if he returns for school on Monday. Maybe the mom will come and spend the day with us to check on her baby. This will be the one and only time this happens. Can you imagine receiving that phone call or being in my shoes? What a day? Needless to say I met my mom at Vantage instead of driving to Ellensburg and took in easy. Ryan made a delicious dinner and I just had to kick up my feet. WOW what a week! My class is wonderful and I am so excited about this upcoming year. It will be a big change for me, but a great one. I will also get to spend the day with my two nephews. Yesterday was a day to get some things done. I cleaned my house, did five loads of laundry, and then went to Wal-Mart, to purchase groceries. Kylie was a trooper on the way Ryan got a phone call that cows were out and we had to take a detour to fix some fence and get nine head of cattle back in. This is life of a rancher. By the time we got to Wal-Mart she ran free for the entire hour we were there, thank goodness Ryan decided to come, and just ram rod her. It was a busy week and we are already gearing up for this next full week. We are looking forward to next weekend. We will spend most of the Labor Day weekend in Ellensburg. We will attend the parade, rodeo, and fair. Hope all of you have a really great week! I am hoping that my days at school will go well, Kylie will continue to adjust to our new normal, and I get things together.

Wow! Busy busy! Be glad that Kylie doesn't mind it when you leave. Just imagine how hard it would be if she cried! Kameron hates it when I leave, starts crying and throwing a little fit. But then as soon as the door closes behind me, he is fine. I think he must think that maybe he can change my mind or something if he throws a fit. Good luck with the school year!

I feel your pain, my girls never cry or get upset when they leave me! It is nice to you dont have to feel guilty about leaving them but you still wish there was some emotion! :) Avery absolutley loves you and is so excited about school! let me know if you need any help with Kyli, we are all about the girls here!
