Donkey Basketball

Ryan on the move! Tiddaly Diddaly Team
Isn't my husband so cute?
Yes, you heard me right donkey basketball. One of Ryan's friends invited him to play on their team. I have heard about this, like back in the day they use to play donkey basketball for something to do. Mattawa/Wahluke High School uses Donkey Basketball as one of their fundraisers. Ryan had a blast. We got there a little bit late and his team had won the first game, so he got to ride for the second game and scored several baskets. They then played the championship game and won. If you notice in the picture they have uniforms, Tiddaly Diddalys was the sponsor and the name of the team, Yeah Ryan. I do have to say it was a lot of fun. The Mattawa school and gym is brand new and is so beautiful. They did a great job organizing the game. Ryan, I know had a ton of fun and was talking about playing again next year.

Teeth

This is Kylie on the move, just as happy as can be.
Kylie has mastered the sippy cup.

It has finally happened. Kylie's first tooth has appeared on Tuesday. OK maybe not appeared, but I could feel it. I always check her everything morning when I wake up. I put my finger in and what did a find a little tiny half of a tooth that has poked through. She now has both of her bottom teeth. Kylie went back to the doctor yesterday for a check up on her wheezing and her six month shots. She is completely over her cough and RSV. She did very well with her shots, all three of them. It was a great day. Kylie is back to her busy self, that is for sure. She is not a big fan of the rice cereal, so we are moving on to more fruits and vegetables. I can't give her enough of them. We had to increase her fomular feeds also so that she will continue to sleep through the night. :)

Update

This is Kylie this afternoon. You wonder why I would put shoes on her, because she pulls her socks off every chance she gets. We are battling this. It will be no big deal to have bear feet this spring, but it is not quite spring never the less when you are sick. My grandmother always told me to keep socks on my feet when you are sick. I also must keep a head bow on everyday or she isn't use to it when we go to town, she pulls them off the entire time.
This was her cereal feed before she went to bed on Wednesday. As you look at the picture, notice her independence. She is trying to feed herself at six months old.
This just cracked me up. We put my mom's glasses on her the other weekend and I just uploaded this picture today. HaHa!!

Kylie is feeling a lot better. She is definitely over the worst of it. She still has a cough, but it is only after she eats or is in bed. She is really getting rolling on crawling. She is working at it pretty hard. She has figured out how to rock back and forth from her knees. It will be no time at all, but she is still cruising through our house with her butterfly swimmer moves. She has got the rice cereal thing down and we are now working on bananas for a couple of days. She is doing all of her regular stuff, so the new foods must be agreeing with her. She is growing like a little weed. She is in 9 month clothes and size three diapers. STILL NO TEETH!!!! They are right there, but just will not break through. They have kinda settled for a couple of days now, because her drooling hasn't been as bad.

I had my staples remover yesterday. I have to say that it looks really great and you will never see the line. The Royal City Clinic did a great job. I am now starting to a get the bug. I have a runny nose and sore throat. I knew that it was just going to take some time before I ended up with it. I hope that I can fight it off fast. It is a good thing that we don't have a car. We can just stay home and relax. We all need to get better. We are praying for a little bit of sunshine so we can go for a walk tomorrow. Thanks for all of the prayers, for both Kylie and I!

Six Months Old

Kylie eating her first Cheerios.
Kylie went to the doctor yesterday. She was still sick, but managed to gain another once. So, the official six month weight is 16 lbs. 9 oz. and was 27 inches long. Dr. Oldham decided to wait to give her shots until after she was over her cold. He was listening to her breathing and she has had a little wheezing, but I just thought that it was part of her cold. He did another couple tests with a nebulizer and it didn't help her breathing. He decided that he should run a RSV test at the hospital. While we were waiting for the results we got the ok for Kylie to start solid foods, YEAH! She has been so interested in people eating since four months, so this should be a fun week. We received the results and she was positive for RSV. I am glad that Ryan came with me. He was able to test drive he Tahoe that I was looking at, he liked it. Now, we must find time to go back to Ellensburg and make an offer. It was a shock that Kylie has RSV, because she was so active through this entire cold and cough. She hasn't had a fever or loss of appetite. She seemed just to have a runny nose and cough a pretty bad cough, but I just kept thinking that it would run it's course and be over. Mom and I were suppose to fly out for our trip to Kentucky on Thursday morning and we decided to cancel the trip. We are going to stay home for a while to get missy better. The test run at the hospital was a saline wash and then they sucked the snot into a test tube. Kylie felt really great yesterday afternoon and her cough was better. I think that the test run at the hospital, sucking the guck out really made her feel better. I hope that she is over the worst and she starts to feel better. Kylie is not taking anything. She is just using a cool mist humidifier. We had a rough night, she was up four times. She starts to cough so hard that she throws up her feed. She has decided that she shouldn't even eat, then she won't get sick. She is not very interested in her bottle today. If she is still not eating much by tomorrow it will be back to the doctors office.
I have included pictures of Kylie's first attempt at Cheerios. It was too cute to watch, she got a couple in her mug. This is such a fun time, six months in my favorite so far. I had to run up to town to day to get my staples out, they decided to leave them in for another couple days. I will go back on Friday to get them checked and hopefully removed. They said it looks great and it healing very well.

Tripp's Baptism

Today was Tripp Allen's baptism. He was baptised at Saint Michael's here in Royal City. We were not able to go because of Kylie being so sick. Ryan had to check the cattle this morning and I stayed home with Kylie. I am sorry that I missed it. I would have loved to be there for this special moment in his life. Hope the day was wonderful! Congratulations on being part of the Catholic faith Tripp Allen!

Happy Heart's Day

Today was Valentine's Day and Kylie turned six month old. Kylie was very sick. She was up most of the night, coughing. She would wake up anytime she was coughing hard. It was a long night. I now know what it's like to have a sick kid and it is no fun. Daddy called early to wish us a Happy Valentine's Day. I went out and looked at another two cars. I need Ryan to come and look. Ryan was suppose to come to Ellensburg to pick us up and take us girls out to dinner, but he got busy and wasn't able to leave until late. So, Kylie and I packed up and borrowed my mom's suburban and surprise Ryan by coming home and meeting him with dinner. We love you Ryan! We can celebrate another night, when our baby girl is feeling better. Kylie got a really cute denim dress today with a red heart on the front. We will have to use it soon!

We hope that all of you had a wonderful day filled with love. Thanks for all of the gifts, cards, and treats, we enjoyed it all. Happy Valentine's Day!

Love Bug

Kylie's Valentine Love Bug

We went to Kylie's doctor's appointment and they said it is a viral cold. She will just have to get over it. She is coughing a lot now and coughs so hard she pucks. She is a taking a cold medicine for her symptoms, but it is suppose to last about 4-5 days. Kylie is 16 lbs 8 oz and was 27 inches long. She is a big girl the official six month appointment is next Tuesday. Hope that she is over all of this before we fly out for Kentucky next Wednesday! She is getting a lot of rest and has a humidifier going helpfully it won't be too bad for too long. We are still at Grandma and Grandpa Gray's. I have been out car shopping. I have only found just two options so far, but Ryan will need to come next week and check them out. Kylie got a love bug today as her gift. I left it in Royal, so I will have to get a picture when we get home and she is feeling better. I am doing great today. I got to shower and that make you just feel so much better. I have attached a few pictures of my car. They called this morning and said that it was a total loss and they are going to pick it up for the salvage yard on Monday. We are doing great and being taken care of here in E-burg, but we are missing Daddy for sure. We love you daddy, see you tomorrow!

I'm Bananas 4 You!

This is Kylie's present today, was a monkey. The monkey has a little shirt that says "Be Mine." I found it at Harvest Foods here is Royal. I just thought that it was just too cute, so I had to get it. She has just a couple of stuffed animals so this will be a fun one to add to the collection. The hands have velcro, but we made the monkey ride on Kylie's back as she army crawls through the house. It is too funny! We love you our little monkey!
I am doing just fine this morning. I woke up with a few new bumps and bruises, but doing just fine. Kylie slept really good last night and so I was able to get some really good sleep. We are planning to go and spend a couple of days at Grandma Gray's. I will have some help with Kylie becasue Ryan is so busy right now. Kylie has started a cough today and we have an appointment this afternoon with Dr. Oldham. We will find out what to do about this cold. The first one in six months I think that is a pretty good record.

The Story of Valentine's Day

Today was a crazy day. I had gotten ready to go, dropped Kylie off and then while I was driving on my way to work. I was in a car accident. I was driving up the canyon on the way to school. The road were very slick. I decided that I needed to accelerate up the hill to make sure that I would make. There has been snow before and I have not made it. I started to spin and over corrected and crashed the passenger side of the car right into the rock wall of the canyon. I hit my head on something and was bleeding pretty bad. I called Ryan and he arrived. Our workers drove the car back to our house and Ryan's mom drove me up the Royal City clinic. They cleaned me up and numbed my head. I received 15 staples in my head above my right eye back in my hairline. I went home and rested, while Kylie played the afternoon at Nany's. I am so glad that Kylie wasn't with me and that I wasn't hurt worse than what I am. I am so lucky. I am doing just fine. I am a little sore, but continuing on with all my duties. The insurance adjuster is suppose to show up around 9 o'clock tomorrow. We will see what the damages are. Thank you for every ones care and concern. Also, thank you for the calls, e-mails, flowers, dinner, and treats.

After dinner with read Kylie's new book the story of Valentine's Day. Ryan and I learned a thing or two about Rome and Valentine being locked up in jail. Kylie just likes to help us turn the pages of her story books now, it is just too cute.

I'm Shakin Up By You

Kylie went to Nany and Ba's house this morning. It was a crazy morning, I am just not use to waking up 6:00 and being ready by 7:30. You would think that would be enough time, but not when you have to get yourself ready and look professional. Get Kylie dresses and ready, feed her a bottle, pack a diaper bag. I also had to pack a lunch, oh yeah eat some kind of breakfast. I dropped Kylie off at Nany and Ba's about 7:45 to make it to school by 8:00. It was a jam packed morning. Ba was waiting for his Rosebud. It was really cute, before I even had left he had her out of her car seat. I know that Kylie had a really great day. When we got home I gave Kylie her present, which was her rattle. She was shakin it all night long. She is such a good girl. We love you missy! I get to do it all over again tomorrow, it is my last day to sub for a while. I am loving the class they are great kids. I am looking forward to the Annual Red Rock Talent Show tomorrow.

Sweet Heart

My mom watched Kylie today, because I got a sub job for Ryan's aunt, Kerry. I get to teach third grade for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week. The day went great and her kids are really wonderful. I had subbed in the same classroom back in November. I meet my mom in Vantage this morning and she watched Kylie, then I drove to Ellensburg to get her. I had a couple of quick errand to run and then we headed home. Kylie got this "Sweet Heart" shirt today for her gift.I thought that it would be perfect to take a Valentine's picture with Grandma and Grandpa. I missed her today. I know that Daddy missed her too. He called me after school to ask when we would be home. We love you Daddy!

Counting Kisses

Before we went to church this morning Kylie opened up her gift for today and she got another book, "Counting Kisses." She was a very good girl at church. She looked at her books and chewed on her flower rattles. Finally, just before the end of church her cousin Jett came to sit by her and kept her entertained. Thank goodness for Jett Henry. Jett decided that he needed to come over and make cupcakes. So, we ran by the store and got chocolate cupcake mix and white frosting as per his request. We made cupcakes and had his favorite lunch, spaghetti. Sybil came by and we all went for a walk, after we finished decorating the cupcake. Jett you did such a great job. Thanks for coming and spending some time with Kylie and I, we have missed you! We love you Henry! I just have to mention that Jett and Tripp were also good boys at church. It is so great to have family at church with me. Tripp is getting so big so fast. I loved listening for his little grunts and noises during church. We will blink and he will be as big as Kylie. Love you too Tripp Allen!

Our Love is Blooming

This is Kylie opening her Valentine's present from cousin Danielle.
The Four Generations
The Tea Party Group
Great Grandma McKeirnan and Kylie Rose

Kylie wore a really cute little dress to the Valentine Tea party. Apparently, I never got a picture with out a bib before we changed her into a comfortable outfit for the ride home. The dress has a flower made of little pink hearts. We were invited to a Valentine Tea, which was really fun at my Aunt Teresa's house in Pasco. It was great to see my mom's family. Including Kylie's great grandma McKeirnan, Aunt Tammy, Cousin Danielle, Aunt Sharon, Aunt Teresa, Cousin Molly, and Grandma Gray. We were severed three courses, the tea was great and the food was delicious and the company was even better. Let's make this a tradition. We had such a great time thanks for inviting us. Thank you so much for a really wonderful day. All of the hard work was worth it. Also, thank you for the Valentine's gifts.

Butterfly Love

I found this cute tee at Wal-Mart. It is a cute glitter butterfly of hearts. Happy Valentine's Day my girl! You are getting so big so fast and have hit so many milestones in the last couple weeks. You can sit up, do motor boats, and have started the early stages of crawling. We are still waiting on your teeth to come in. I am guessing that it will be Sunday, but what do I know. I am definitely not a dentist. Ryan asked when he got in today "what did we do today?" We slept in until 8, then snuggled in bed until 9, played and read stories. Finally, decided to take a shower at 10:30. Then she took a nap from 11:30 all the way until 2:30. I did our dishes. Did three loads of laundry and put them away. I swept the floors. I also had extra time today, so I cleaned the bathroom and washed the windows. This is really abnormal for her to sleep so long she is usually less than an hour. She was a tired girl. Ryan came in for lunch and it was a quiet one. Then, we watched part of a baby DVD when she woke up. We read stories, and she played in her jumparoo. We had to a make a quick run up to town to return a DVD I rented last night, FIREPROOF, not so good. I won't recommend it. We came home and played with her toys and got dinner ready for when Ryan got home. I tried a new recipe with salmon steaks. I hope that it turns out great! This is a pretty typical day around here. I am enjoying my time with my baby girl. I know that next year when I am working full time it will be a lot different. I am soaking up every minute with her. I can't wait for the weather to get warmer and we can be outside in the afternoons.

These are picture of Kylie with her two other Stewart cousins. I had been wanting to do this picture. Kylie and I went over to Nany and Ba's to organize the first Stewart family vacation. We are going to the beach in July. Did I already mention this? Anyway we took a couple of shots. Only one of mine turned out.

This is Kylie (5 1/2 months),Tripp (3 weeks), Maddie (10 1/2 months)

Tagged
My friend and AWESOME sister-in-law posted this tag today on her blog, so I thought I'd play along too. I enjoy reading tags on other blogs and I'm sure that I'll like reading this again someday.

Five Years Ago I:
1. Was working on campus at Facilities Management. I was able to work on the project for the new Student Union Building at Central. What a great job I had!
2. Was in the Elementary Education major taking 18 credits and working 20 hours a week. I was a busy girl.
3. Had been dating Ryan for a year and we were in love.
4. Had so many friends that were back from school, going to Central, or were now working in Ellensburg. It was a fun to go out on the town.
5. Was living at home with my parents. My mom was cooking dinner for the family each and every night. It was a great time!

Five Things I did Today:
1. Booked a vacation with the Stewart family to the Oregon Coast in July. FUN TIMES!
2. Did a couple of loads of laundry, well only two. But, laundry is a full time job.
3. I washed the dishes from dinner last night and breakfast this morning. We do not have a dishwasher like some of you that live in the 20th century. I am the dishwasher.
4. Made a trip to town, went to the bank, picked up a DVD, got a couple things for dinner tonight and went by the post office for stamps.
5. Went on a walk with Kylie, it warmed up to 40+ degrees today.

Five Places I have Lived:
1. Ellensburg (Nanuem Street, and Matthews Road)
2. Royal City
Nope Only Two

Five Jobs I Have Had:
1. Taught Kindergarten at Red Rock Elementary School
2. Assistant at Facilities Management at CWU
3. Secretary at Brad and Burke Heating and Air (My Parents Business in Ellensburg)
4. Daycare assistant at Jazzercise. It was cool I got free classes. I am just not coordinated enough.
5. Custodian/Painter at CWU. I painted the dorm rooms and cleaned the hallways and commons area.

Five Things I Would Do With A Million Dollars:
1. Pay off all of my debt, which is Ryan’s truck and trailer.
2. Put money away for Kylie’s college fund.
3. Build our dream house on the ranch.
4. Take an amazing vacation with my family to somewhere warm & tropical! (sorry to copy you Ms. Katie)
5. Take all of the girls in my family on a weekend spa trip, with great shopping, and wonderful food. (that includes all my in-laws only the girls though)

I want in 5 years:
1. have had another healthy baby.
2. moved into another house with a little more space.
3. teaching part time with my sister-in-law as a kindergarten teacher.
4. enjoying the ranch life with my husband of 8 years.
5. to have a dishwasher.

I tag anyone who wants to do this but especially my friends that check my blog regularly. Great way for us to get to know one another better! Have fun!

Hearts Hearts and More Hearts

I found this cute cardigan at Old Navy. I thought that it was so cute. Kylie looks good in red. She is also wearing a pair of red patent leather shoes, thanks to Grandma. Kylie, I hope that you look back at these pictures and laugh at what I made you wear someday, because this is why I am doing all of this. Is for my girl. We love you Miss Ky!

This is our favorite. We will be ordering a large print of this. We love our baby girl!

These are a couple of pictures that Amy Johnson Photography was able to get of Kylie last Saturday. They are better than I thought. They are great! I am so happy with the pictures. I love them. I wanted more of an artistic type picture this time for something different and I got exactly what I wanted. Thanks Amy for doing such a great job and being so patient with Kylie. If anyone is interested I am adding the website for her photography blog. Please let her know that I referred you if you contact her. http://amyjohnsonphotography.blogspot.com/

Key 2 My Heart

We gave Kylie a set of keys today that has been her favorite thing today. She is always trying to chew on mine, so I decided to get her a set of her own. She loves them and the drool has been a flyin all day. You have used your keys to unlock mommy's heart, my sweet Kylie Rose.

I Love My Family!

Kylie got to open her present when she woke up this morning. She torn it open. We have read this book at least fifty time today. She rubs her hands along the book to make a squeaking noise and then laughs. It is too funny. I Love My Family is the title of the book and it is by Fisher Price. It is a cute board book that I found at Target. I love my family and I love Kylie Rose.

Crawling

Kylie surprised Ryan and I today during lunch by crawling across the living room to get my cell phone. She continued for about forty minutes or so army crawling all over to get each of her toys. She is getting to be so big. It was pretty funny, because Katie and Maddie invited us to go for a walk this morning and she had asked me if Kylie was crawling yet while we were walking around Royal. I was telling her that she was getting closer, but still not quite ready. And look at what happened today. She is getting so big!

Be Mine

This is Kylie's present for today was another outfit. It says "Be Mine" on the front. We want you to be mine and daddy's for ever and ever. She is feeling a little better today, but still not 100%. We hope by tomorrow that she is feeling better and her diaper rash is cleared up. All of those experienced mom's any good remedies for a really bad diaper rash. I have been cleaning with a washcloth, letting it air out, and using creamy desitin. Anything else that I should or could be doing, please help.

XOXO

I love the Valentine's Day holiday. I always have. I wanted to do something fun with Kylie, so I decided to have something special everyday for the fourteen days leading up to Valentine's Day. This is her first item, which is a "I Love Mom" shirt and red and white poka dot head bow. I love you Kylie Rose so much! I am going to show you how much I love with a present each and every day from Mommy. You are so special and we love you so much. We are so lucky to have such a sweet, beautiful, smart, easy going baby! We Love You Rosebud!

Busy Weekend

Grandma and Rosebud during the Super Bowl game
Kylie and Halle at lunch Saturday
Kylie and Daddy at dinner on Friday night

We had a very busy weekend. Ryan had a chiropractic appointment in Moses Lake on Friday. He invited his girls, Kylie and I to go with him and out it eat. I was able to run a couple of errands while Ryan was at his appointment. We went out to eat at Michael's, which was delicious. Thanks Ryan for a fun evening out. Saturday morning we made a trip back to Moses for lunch with our good friends Lyndsey and Halle. It was so fun to get to see them and visit. After lunch we headed out to Amy Johnson Photography to get Kylie's six month pictures taken. I will post as soon as I get them. She did o.k. She just doesn't like to smile much for the camera. Then we drove back to Royal and packed for a night at Grandma's. We were invited out to dinner with some friends Amy and Jay. We went out to a new restaurant there in Ellensburg, Sazon. It was interesting food that is culturally inspired. We also had drinks downtown and were able to see quite a few people that I graduated with, too much fun. It was good to see them and visit. We mostly just talked about our kids all night. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for watching Kylie. Then it was Super Bowl Sunday, we were planning on going over to Ryan's friends house Casey and Courtney for the game, but Kylie had started to get sick, had a horrible diaper rash, and was really crabby. So, we watched the game at my parents house with all of my brothers and a couple of their friends. I was really rooting for Arizona, ah so close. After the game we loaded up and headed back to Royal. Busy, busy, busy. I am glad to be back and home and we have not one thing planned for the entire week. I think this is a first. It feels so nice to get to relax, clean my house, and do some laundry.
